My first car was a white 1988 Lincoln Town Car. I loved that car for almost a year. (Longer than that, but that’s another story for another day.) I miss every day that I haven’t had old Abe in my life. This one isn’t too bad, however, couple thousand miles away from me and well, outside my budget of $0 right now. I am sad. Instead of fixing the moisture issues in my house I totally should have done this instead.

Still still crazy to me how much some of these old 80's cars are going for now. T hat would have been a $2,000 car all day long 10 years ago.

I agree! When I started looking at them recently (again) I was shocked. They’re billing them as antique and special, but, uh, nah. I think they’re special but I have seen some advertised (and presumably sold) for over 20K with low miles. I just can’t with that.

They still are, if you don’t want to sit on one for years waiting for the right buyer. I sold a honey of a 1984 Town Car last year for $2200 after having it listed for a year and and half with nothing but tire kickers and ghosters.

Basically, you can advertise a car at whatever price you want to stick on it, doesn’t mean that’s what its worth or what its going to sell for. And just because an ad disappears one day doesn’t mean the car actually sold, or that the seller got what they were asking.
